Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Games returned to the spotlight during the State of Play June 2026 showcase with a new gameplay trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, offering the best look yet at the upcoming reimagining of Lara Croft’s original adventure. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on February 12, 2027.
The presentation showcased Lara exploring ancient ruins, solving environmental puzzles, and engaging in combat across several locations inspired by the 1996 classic. The footage highlighted the game’s modernized visuals and gameplay systems while retaining the structure and story of Lara’s search for the scattered pieces of the Scion.
Originally announced in December 2025, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is being developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Flying Wild Hog. The project reimagines Lara Croft’s first adventure with rebuilt environments, updated mechanics, and contemporary presentation while preserving the tone of the original release.
One of the most notable details from the gameplay reveal was Lara’s appearance. Throughout the trailer, she wears her iconic classic outfit, including the franchise’s signature shorts and dual pistols, bringing one of gaming’s most recognizable looks into the modern era.
Alongside the new footage, Crystal Dynamics confirmed that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will launch on February 12, 2027. Pre-orders are now available.
The game stars Alix Wilton Regan as Lara Croft, continuing her role as the character following previous appearances across the franchise.
