Tomb Raider Anime Series in Development For Netflix; Takes Place After Shadow of the Tomb Raider
As part of today’s myriad of news for the Tomb Raider series celebrating its 25-year anniversary, a new anime series was announced to be in development for Netflix. This anime takes place after the events of the Survivor trilogy; Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018). Further, throughout this anime, Lara will take more vital steps to become the literal ‘tomb raider’ her destiny foretells.
Powerhouse Animation is behind this series, and they are known for their work on several projects such as Castlevania, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Blood of Zeus. Legendary Television is also aiding the project.
Hayley Atwell will be voicing Lara Croft, Allen Maldonado will voice Zip, and Earl Baylon will reprise his role as Jonah Maiava.
More information on this series will be delivered in the near future. For instance, the name of the anime has not even been provided yet, nor has any expected release window.
If you missed it, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be releasing for Nintendo Switch in 2022. Unfortunately, no specific release dates or windows have been provided for these releases either.
