Paranormal Detective Sim ‘Tokyo Psychodemic’ Gets May Release Date in New Gameplay Trailer

Gravity Game Arise announced that their paranormal investigation sim Tokyo Psychodemic will be released on May 30, 2024, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. A free limited demo is available now on Steam.

Tokyo Psychodemic immerses players in a dark and intricately woven narrative set against the backdrop of a fictional pandemic in Tokyo that outpaces the lethality of Ebola, leading to the city’s lockdown and the collapse of its social structures. As the virus devastates the population, including key government figures, the nation descends into chaos until a new leader emerges, bringing hope and solutions that gradually contain the pandemic. In this game, players take on the role of detectives at an agency tasked with revisiting unsolved murder cases that have been overshadowed by the crisis. With a focus on investigation and deduction, players must sift through evidence, analyze surveillance footage, and piece together the circumstances surrounding each case.

The gameplay centers around the meticulous examination of crime scenes, the analysis of security camera recordings, and the gathering of crucial information regarding the victims and suspects. By reconstructing events and identifying connections on an evidence board, players employ critical thinking and investigative skills to unveil the truths hidden within these unresolved cases. “Tokyo Psychodemic” offers a unique blend of detective work and narrative exploration, set in a world grappling with the aftermath of a devastating pandemic, challenging players to solve mysteries while navigating the remnants of a society struggling to recover.
