VR Visual Novel ‘Tokyo Chronos’ Launches Steam Page With New Screenshots and Free Demo
Sekai Project launched the Steam page for the MyDearest developed virtual reality visual novel Tokyo Chronos, coming to PC-via Steam with Oculus Go/Rift support on March 20, and PlayStation VR in July.
Tokyo Chronos takes place in a deserted Shibuya where time has come to a stop. The story follows 8 childhood friends who are trapped inside. Through suspense-filled situations and after a mysterious message is found that reads, “I am dead. Who killed me?” visual novel fans will discover an immersive story like never before.
From the Steam page, players are able to preview the game during the demo. The game is compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift devices.
The development team includes notable creators including:
- Producer: Kazuma Miki (Sword Art Online producer)
- Director: Haruki Kashiwakura (Rakuen Tsuiho: Expelled from Paradise motion director)
- Scenario Writer: Kou Segawa (A Mystery Schoolgirl series mystery writer)
- Character Designer: LAM (illustrator)
Tokyo Chronos was funded through Kickstarter, which allowed fans to assist the team with the game’s development. However, the game recently received a delay to further polish the game and deliver a product that fans would enjoy.
