Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist Introduces Three New Characters to Join the Fight
Bandai Namco revealed three new characters for their upcoming action fighter Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist, coming to PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam in 2019.
The new characters revealed are three that fans of the manga and anime source material will recognize fairly well:
- Nishiki Nishio – An S-rank ghoul nicknamed “Serpent”.
- Shu Tsukiyama – A ghoul, known as “Gourmet”.
- Touka Kirishima – the ghoul who manages the :re coffee shop.
Each of the characters will be playable during the game that brings together characters from across the franchise, including Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, and Tokyo Ghoul:re. The characters must fight for survival as either a ghoul or Investigator. In the game, players will also be able to choose their sides and challenge their friends in online battles.

Author’s take: This is a unique approach to an anime licensed game and I’m interested to see how Bandai Namco took on the survival part of it. Usually, these anime games have mainly been third person fighters and fairly basic at that, but this game seems to want to stand out as well as stick close to the source material. As a Tokyo Ghoul fan, I’m pretty excited.
