2D Roguelike ‘Tokoyo: The Tower of Perpetuity’ Leaving PC Early Access Next Month; Trailer Confirming Switch Version

During today’s Indie Live Expo, the 2D roguelike, Tokoyo: The Tower of Perpetuity by developer //commentout and publisher Playism was confirmed to be fully releasing for Nintendo Switch via the eShop and PC via Steam on June 2, 2022. The title has been in Early Access since 2020, so this development is quite significant.

TOKOYO: The Tower of Perpetuity features a tower that procedurally generates every 24 hours in real-time. Along with the layout, changes are new enemies and trap placement. Players will aim to obtain the top rank each day to see who can get the furthest. This reduces the chance of any memorization, but there’s an added layer of split routes that might make it more difficult.

The game features some online social elements, such as when you die, a gravestone will appear, along with some select final words for players to see. Additionally, there are character customization options to choose from, with more being added.
