Clear River Games has announced the retro shmup collection Toaplan Arcade Garage: Flying Fire Shark for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, which will be released worldwide on August 29, 2026, in both physical and digital editions.
The collection includes six arcade titles: Flying Shark, Sky Shark, Hishou Same, Fire Shark, Same! Same! Same!, and the two-player arcade version of Same! Same! Same!.
Alongside Arcade Mode, Super Easy Mode is there for newer players. The package also includes M2 Gadgets support, which displays gameplay information on the sides of the screen to help track hidden items, enemy threats, and blind spots.
Challenge Mode breaks stages into smaller segments for practice, and an automatic rewind feature activates when players take damage during challenge runs.
Digital owners will also receive additional DLC included with physical editions. That lineup adds console ports and extra games, including the NES version of Sky Shark, the SEGA Mega Drive release of Same! Same! Same!, the SEGA Genesis version of Fire Shark, and multiple versions of Wardner, including its arcade and Famicom Disk System releases.
Lastly, players who own any title in the Toaplan Arcade Garage series will also be able to download the puzzle game Teki-Paki for free, which is outfitted with online leaderboards and downloadable replay data.
