X.D. Network announced that the Freebird games developed adventure RPG To The Moon will release fully remade in Unity on Nintendo Switch on January 16, 2020.
Originally released in on PC in 2011, To the Moon was developed using RPG Maker XP. This version of the game has been remade in Unity by developer X.D. Network using the original blueprint of the game. This will also be the first time that players can experience the game on console.
The game is a story-driven adventure that dives into the idea of death and memories where a dying man named Johnny Wyles wishes to go to the moon. Players will explore Johnny’s memories and learn more about him and his life. New characters will be introduced who will reemerge at different points in his life as characters learn why he longs for the moon.
Additionally, the developer released the first trailer of the game which shows the remade visuals as well as gives players an idea of the story and characters. The conversations in the trailer also show the characters reflecting on their Nintendo Switch debut.
