TiMi Studio Group and Capcom to Develop New Monster Hunter Mobile Game

Today, Capcom and TiMi Studio Group announced they will develop a mobile game based on the Monster Hunter series. The game is said to feature hunting elements from the series while giving players a unique way to take down beasts on the go.

Monster Hunter has mainly been a mobile IP appearing on handheld platforms such as Game Boy 3DS and PSP. However, you can likely expect this version to contain microtransactions not found in the base game.

The new mobile game will “reproduce the hunting actions that define the Monster Hunter series and offers players a new game experience unique for mobile devices and phones.” However, gameplay or concepts were not shared at this time. This is the first time the studios have worked together.

TiMi Studio Group is a subsidiary of Tencent Games. You may have played other mobile titles they’ve developed, including Call of Duty: Mobile and Pokemon: Unite. Unfortunately, there is no mention of this title coming to other platforms, and it will likely be a free-to-play mobile experience.

We’ll keep you updated on the development of this new title.
