According to VGC, developer Free Radical Design, known for Timesplitters, will be closed on December 11, 2023, following the completion of a consultation process.
The CEO of the acquisition company, Embracer Group, provided the following comment:
“As we move through the consultation process and face the potential closure of Free Radical Design on 11 December 2023, I want to express my gratitude for your commitment and the remarkable work you’ve done and still keep doing.
This is a challenging time for all of us but especially for you, and our focus is to support you as much as we can during this transition.”
Way back in 2021, Deep Silver announced the development of Timesplitters. However, following numerous changes and an acquisition by Embracer Group, such plans seem like they will no longer come to pass.
Unfortunately, Embracer Group has been letting go of countless employees as part of a restricting process, and it seems like such occurrences will not die down any time soon.
