Plague-ridden Bloodborne-esque Indie Game ‘Thymesia’ Gets Release Date in New Trailer
Earlier in March this year, publisher Team17 and Taiwan developer OverBorder Studio revealed a gameplay trailer for their upcoming project Thymesia.
Viewers got a preview of this new adventure that takes inspiration from the renowned Dark Souls games, especially Bloodborne. Thymesia oozes with atmosphere in its dark environments filled with plague-infected beasts.
During Gamescom 2021, Team17 released a new trailer, finally unveiling the release date of Thymesia.
Thymesia is a grueling action RPG with fast-paced combat and an intricate plague weapon system. In a kingdom where death spreads, play as a mysterious character known by the code name “Corvus.” Prey upon your enemies, wield the power of disease, and find the truth in your own memories.
It features many hallmarks of soulsborne games, including challenging combat that requires precise parries and perfect dodges. In addition, OverBorder Studio has added its own unique twist to the formula, including the ability to transform into a raven to escape from danger.
Thymesia is coming to PC via Steam on December 7, 2021. No console version has been announced.
The brand new trailer shows off protagonist “Corvus” exploring more of the combat and world of Thymesia, with one particular location that reminds me of Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower. You can view the official release date trailer below:
