THQ Nordic Launches Playable Prototype of ‘Gothic’ Remake and Wants Player Opinions
THQ Nordic decided that they might want to develop a remake of the fantasy RPG Gothic.
To some, Gothic was their first RPG, but to others, it’s a lifestyle.
THQ Nordic wants to know if players would like a remake of this title and instead of just launching a survey, the team has launched a prototype of the game on Steam. The prototype is available for free for any who have purchased any of the Gothic saga titles from Piranha Bytes. This is to ensure that they get feedback from fans.
This playable teaser gives players a preview of what the studio is aiming for in this remake. The team also released a short trailer showing what the demo offers.
Additionally, a comparison trailer was released showing how they have improved the game’s visual next to the original release. The results of the project given the game a nice visual update, the environments and characters have received considerable attention.
During the prototype, players can return to the Colony and explore its many offers for around 2 hours of gameplay. Players assume the role of a nameless hero cast out to survive in the world and face tough foes.
