Magical Girl RPG ‘This Way Madness Lies’ Coming to Switch and PS5
Zeboyd Digital Games announced they will partner up with Limited Run Games to release the magical girl RPG This Way Madness Lies on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch digitally and physically. That said, the Switch version will be available digitally on July 25, 2023, with the PS5 release scheduled for later this year.
A physical release is also slated to open pre-orders soon. The original press release was not clear as to what was available for pre-order, but it seems like LRG is publishing the digital versions alongside the physical releases. Sorry for any confusion, we’ll keep you updated on the pre-orders for the physical release.
“I believe that the world needs more quality RPGs that don’t take dozens of hours before they get good. Something that’s all killer, no filler, and fun for the whole family. This Way Madness Lies is great for when you need a burst of turn-based goodness or just want to hang out with the members of the Stratford-Upon-Avon High Drama Society. And now that it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch, the fun doesn’t have to stop even when you’re suffocating in a crowded subway car or at an outdoor party you’d rather not be attending,” commented Robert Boyd, Founder of Zeboyd Digital Entertainment LLC
This Way Madness Lies initially launched on Steam in November of 2022. The game holds a positive review standing with players, but when magical girls are involved, you can’t really go wrong.
During gameplay, players meet Paulina, Viola, Rosalind, Miranda, Beatrice, and Kate as they set out through the Shakespearean metaverse and overcome the various obstacles in their way. The tone of the adventure is humorous, but the systems show the developer’s knack for crafting fun stories.
