This War of Mine: Complete Edition Gets Nintendo Switch Release Later This Month

11 Bit Studios announced their anti-war survival game This War of Mine will release as This War of Mine: Complete Edition physically and digitally for Nintendo Switch on November 27, with a partnership with Deep Silver.

This War of Mine has been receiving updates since it first released back in 2014, which added new locations, characters, and scenarios. Furthermore, the developer has also added new story DLC updates titled “The Little Ones”, “Father’s Promise”, and “War Child”, which each added more content to the game.

This War of Mine: Complete Edition will include all the aforementioned updates, DLC, and expansions and any future DLC will be free for those who pick up the game. Additionally, it seems this version will be exclusive to the Switch.

This War of Mine: Complete Edition will tell the story of a group of individuals who are lacking food and medicine, but still must survive the attacks of hostile scavengers and snipers. Players don’t play as elite soldiers, instead, the game focuses on civilians who must work together in order to survive.

Over day and night cycles, players will need to strategize on how they plan to collect resources and take care of the other survivors without dying. Additionally, players must make choices during the game that might have a deathly consequence attached.

In case you missed it, This War of Mine: Stories is also receiving new DLC.

Author’s take: I’m glad to see this series on one complete cartridge. Players who haven’t picked this game now have the perfect starting part to discover all this title has to offer.
