Sunny Lab and Silver Lining Interactive have announced that their upcoming 2D adventure RPG, The Witch’s Bakery, has been delayed from August 20, 2026 to October 14, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Alongside apologizing for this sudden decision, the team stated that they are still finding occasional bugs requiring more time, and September is a crowded month that they’d rather not compete in.
The Witch’s Bakery will feature the witch-baker Lunne as she goes about her daily life in Paris, with each day divided into three distinct phases.
During the daytime, Lunne manages her bakery and serves customers with her team of friends. In the evening, she explores Paris, builds relationships, discovers the city’s secrets, and dives into her friends’ hearts. Then, at night, Lunne improves her magic, decorates her bakery, and spends time in her atelier.
Plenty of Paris is explorable, with each distinct area having its own characters, activities, and shops. Fifteen levels will be available, featuring recognizable monuments and lesser-known areas.
When diving into peoples’ hearts guided by her shapeshifting partner Orio, Lunne explores their Heart Palace to guide their personified Emotion to their hearts; their deepest struggles are emphasized. Further, the theme of a palace is tied to its emotion.
The narrative is divided into chapters and occurs over three months, highlighting Joy, Sadness, and Despair. Supporting the Kickstarter can provide two additional chapters focusing on Fear and Anger.
