The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Official Mod Editor in Development for 2024

Developer CD Projekt Red has announced that they are working on an official mod editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Planned to launch for free in 2024, this project is described as allowing players to create their own experiences by making completely new content or editing existing quests and content.

More information on this effort will be shared next year.

In case you missed it, a remake of the first Witcher game using Unreal Engine 5 technology is in the works. CD Projekt Red also announced multiple new incoming games, including from The Witcher series, during their strategy meeting in late 2022. We’ll be sure to update you all on these forthcoming projects.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold over 50 million units worldwide. Additionally, the trilogy has sold a cumulative 75 million+ units worldwide.

The title currently exists as a free next-generation upgrade for owners of the original and its own standalone purchase.

Players, new and old, can enjoy a plethora of visual and technical improvements, such as ray tracing support, swifter loading times, mod integration within the base experience, and new content inspired by The Witcher series on Netflix. 4K textures and models, a 60 FPS mode, a Photo mode, and cloud saves will also be integrated.

Further, this release includes all previous DLC, such as the “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine” expansions.
