The Walking Dead Onslaught Gets New Gameplay Details Ahead of Launch
Survios and AMC shared some new details for their upcoming VR horror adventure The Walking Dead Onslaught, coming to PlayStation VR, Oculus Home, and Steam on September 29.
In the new details, project lead, Andrew Abedian, gives some insight into the gameplay and zombie hordes that players will encounter. In moment to moment gameplay, players can spend their time in the Alexandria Safe-Zone where they put resources towards rebuilding the settlement, gain new survivors, and find new upgrades. This gameplay mode is aimed towards immersing the player and directly connecting them to the world.
Furthermore, players get a look at the game’s armory where players can stockpile weapons used to fight off any lurkers that they come across. Players will need to find new resources through scavenger modes where they’ll encounter many zombie threats. However, weapons can be upgrades and range from a variety of different styles.
The publisher also revealed what comes in the Standard and Deluxe Editions of The Walking Dead Onslaught. Those who pre-order the game will receive exclusive Sheriff Rick and Hunter Daryl skins, as well as the exclusive Golden Katana and Golden Knuckle Knife weapon skins. On the other hand, the Digital Deluxe Edition comes with:
