RTS Game ‘The Touhou Empires’ Revealed in Debut Gameplay Trailer

Phoenixx Games announced they will publish the Neetpia-developed RTS game, The Touhou Empires, on PC via Steam in 2022.

The Touhou Empires is a fan-made Touhou-inspired game that features real-time strategy gameplay systems. In addition, the game has a story mode where players can take on various missions that introduce a handful of popular characters from the Touhou universe.

During gameplay, players command catactors and fairies to complete mission objectives that will evolve across the mission types. For example, players must collect resources from the map, construct buildings to expand their own camps, and organize their armies to advance and march. Once set up, they can march their army to the enemy and take them down.

Each character has access to a Spell Card, which is an ability that could change the tide of battle. Further, there is online multiplayer support for players to play with up to six players. These modes include cooperating and PVP modes.

The gameplay released highlights some of the modes and characters that players will meet during gameplay. The graphics are 3D with some colorful abilities that mirror other Touhou titles.
