Story-Driven RPG ‘The Thaumaturge’ Delayed to February to Improve Gameplay Quality
11 Bit Studios and Fool’s Theory announced that their story-driven RPG The Thaumaturge will be delayed from its planned December 5, 2023, release to February 20, 2024 on PC. The game will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at a later date.
The team shared in a statement, “As the finishing touches were put on the game over recent weeks, the team saw the opportunity to add more polish and quality, and given they have the comfort to allow themselves some extra time, the decision was made to delay.”
The Thaumaturge is set in 1905 in Warsaw, which is home to religious conflict. However, it seems that’s not the only thing people need to be worried about, as monsters lurk in the shadows.
During gameplay, players will need to make choices that change the outcome of the narrative. Every moment of gameplay is shaped by the presence of mystical beings known as Salutors. The turn-based combat features abilities where the Salutors improve the player character’s skills and enhance their abilities. Throughout the game, players can manipulate other characters to progress their power.
We’ll keep you updated on the development and release of The Thaumaturge.
