Award Winning Mobile Game ‘The Room’ Heads to Nintendo Switch

Team 17 partnered with Fireproof Games to bring their mobile adventure game The Room to Nintendo Switch on October 18.

The Room is a puzzle game known for having gorgeous visuals and engaging puzzles during its time on iOS and Android. In the game, Players will find themselves in an abandoned house’s attic, needing to complete puzzles to unlock a chamber holding a companions secrets.

The Switch version of The Room will make use of the handheld’s touchscreen but has also been optimized for Joy-Con support in dock mode. The developers have noted that the game has been rebuilt from the ground up to make this happen.

When the game was released in 1012, it received numerous rewards from Apple, BAFTA, and GDC. Howeverm this will be the first time the game will release on consoles. There has been no announcement for the game to head over to any other console at this moment.

you can check out some of the Switch screenshots as well as the trailer for its console debut showing gameplay below:

Author’s Take: I have heard of this game plenty of times from being called the most gorgeous puzzler on mobile. I’d be interesting in trying it just to see how it handles “intuitive touch controls” with analog sticks.
