Yen Press to Publish ‘The Overture of Elden Ring’ Digitally Next Month; An In Depth Book About the Game’s Development
Yen Press announced that they will publish The Overture of Elden Ring digitally on February 3, 2021.
The Overture of Elden Ring is a companion to Elden Ring’s upcoming release that covers many aspects of its development. Readers can get a look at the process the team took to create the story, depth, scale, and gameplay mechanics along with some insights into the network test that recently took place in November 2021. Further, director Hidetaka Miyazaki talks about the Elden Ring’s development process and design choices the team faced in an exclusive interview.
What’s more, the dark fantasy games developed by FromSoftware, such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, are featured as well, with images of enemies and locales from the titles.
Elden Ring features the action systems that FromSoftware has proven effective through their Dark Souls series, but the team is also focused on building a narrative with this title. With the help of Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, the game will feature a fantasy story where players control the fate of this world. Players will meet various characters with their own motivation that may end up helping or hindering progressions. Throughout the game, players will choose the fate of this cursed land by unraveling its secrets and myths.
The Overture of Elden Ring will be available on digital platforms including BookWalker.
