The Outer Worlds Gets Switch Release Date and Physical Version Containing Digital Code Only
Private Division announced that the Obsidian-developed adventure RPG, The Outer Worlds, will launch on Nintendo Switch on March 6.
The port is being worked on by developer Virtuos Games as they aim to bring the best version of the game to Switch hardware, which is no easy feat considering the size of the game. The game will launch in retail stores, however, the box will only contain a download code for the game, which might signify a large download size. The game will launch for $59.99.
No Screenshots for the Switch version were shared at this time.
In The Outer Worlds, the player will take on the role of a mysterious character who happens to be lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy. The character awakens decades later, and it’s from then on that the player will have to explore a space colony that isn’t all that safe to be in as multiple factions fight for control of it. The player can decide to choose the path they want to take, whether they want to be a hero, rebel, or even an anti-hero.
