The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Adds Publisher Nacon With a Release Planned for 2022

Daedalic Entertainment announced that it has added Nacon as a co-publisher to release The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, now slated to release on PlayStation and Xbox Consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2022, which is a year off from the previous 2021 release window.

The two companies will join together to fund a game that fans of The Lord of the Rings will enjoy as they aim to take advantage of the new generation of consoles.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has players assume the role of the Gollum through action-adventure segments. The game also features stealth elements where players can interact with environments and the narrative style gameplay to progress through the story. The actions that players take will determine which side of Gollum they see. This refers to his split personality between Sméagol and Gollum, where Sméagol is the better behaved of the two. The gameplay has adventure segments of climbing and sneaking along with some moments of action.

The game was originally announced in 2019 and has since garnered a lot of attention from fans. However, even with the concerning delays, it only shows that the team delivers a quality experience to players.
