The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Gets New Trailer Highlighting Highly Desired Quality of Life Features
Nintendo has recently uploaded a brand new trailer for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, giving prospective players a brief overview of the quality of life features they can expect from this updated release.
Firstly, aid from Fi is now optional, which will likely be the benefit players from the original will enjoy the most. In the original title, Fi had a reputation for being overly talkative and analytical way too frequently, constantly miring the game’s pace. Enhanced controller options are highlighted next, with both motion controls and button-only controls being viable play options for the game’s entirety.
The title’s frame rate has been enhanced and optimized significantly to provide a more pleasing and cohesive gameplay experience. Dialogue can also be fast-forwarded, offering further convenience aimed towards veteran fans and those intending on performing replays. Item information granted to the player has been considerably altered, too, making it so that players do not have to sit through the same, identical text boxes whenever picking up an item repeatedly. Lastly, cutscenes can be skipped, yet another welcome addition.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is releasing for Nintendo Switch on July 16, 2021.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword initially launched on Wii in 2011 and featured gameplay where players travel to various dungeons via a flying bird named Loftwing. Interestingly, the dungeons and layout of the adventure are very Zelda-esque as it retains many classic Zelda systems and mechanics, which some liked and some didn’t at the time.
