Nintendo Left Us Breathless With ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Sequel Reveal
Right at the very end of Nintendo’s E3 2019 presentation, the company unveiled the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.
No release details have been revealed as of yet, but hey, we’re still trying to get some air here so maybe it’s for the best that we don’t know any other details.
During the presentation, a quick trailer was shown for the new Breath of the Wild sequel, but no gameplay footage was included. Despite that, the trailer did show what the characters and overall tone will be in the game. From the looks of it, the sequel won’t be as bright and vibrant like the first Breath of the Wild. Instead, it’s going for a darker, more gritty look — some may say that’s it’s leaning over to Twilight Princess or Majora’s Mask territory with its look alone. Could this be true? Maybe, but we’ll have to wait to find out.
Not only does the trailer give us a good look at the game overall, but it also unveils that Zelda will look rather different as she sports a shorter hairstyle and wears her Champion’s garb. Seems that Link will pretty much be the same. However, rather than adventuring on his own, the game could have him and Zelda embarking on an epic quest to save the world together.
An enemy character was also revealed — a creepy mummy-like character who, in the trailer, looks like is getting resurrected somehow from some sort of dark, mysterious power. We’re guessing it’s Ganondorf.
Of course, all that we just mentioned is just us using our “investigation skills” to cover what The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel is all about. Come up with your own theories by watching the reveal trailer for it below:
