The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure Details Benefits When Transferring Trails from Zero Clear Data; New English Screenshots
Publisher NIS America has updated the official website for the upcoming localized release of the Nihon Falcom-developed turn-based JRPG, The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure, detailing how saved data transfer works.
NOTE: THIS ARTICLE HAS TRAILS FROM ZERO SPOILERS.
If one is playing Trails to Azure on the same device they beat Trails from Zero on, they can transfer the latter’s clear data to the former when beginning a new game. Several alterations in Trails to Azure will occur once transference is done, including changed dialogue depending on the sidequests one has completed and the NPCs one has met throughout Trails from Zero.
Additionally, Lloyd Bannings’ bond levels with the SSS members from Trails from Zero, Elie MacDowell, Tio Plato, and Randy Orlando will fully carry over. The publisher also clarified that if a player has multiple clear data files from Trails from Zero, the bond levels from all those playthroughs will be combined. Further, “…even if you choose a different clear data from Zero on a second playthrough of Azure, the bonding events in Azure will not change from the first playthrough.”
Then, the in-game achievements one has earned will be carried over depending on which save file was chosen for transference, so picking the Zero clear file containing the most accomplishments is recommended.
A provided example of two screenshots in the same context where one image depicts carried-over Trails from Zero saved data is viewable below:
Another example shared is where Lloyd’s interactions with Sully will differ depending on if the player cleared the Stalker Investigation!!! quest in Trails from Zero:
Yet another provided example is when Noel Seeker meets KeA in the Bracer Guild in Trails to Azure. Their interactions will differ if the player spoke to KeA in Trails from Zero while Noel was in the party.
In Trails to Azure, certain scenes will have altered dialogue if the player’s transferred Trails from Zero clear data had the party members’ final bonding scenes viewed. For instance, the following screenshots depict subtly changed interactions with Elie and Tio if their final bonding events were seen in the Trails from Zero clear data:
And the strengthened Combo Crafts earned from those final bonding scenes in Trails from Zero will carry over, too, even for multiple characters. Lastly, the official website has a multitude of new English screenshots, viewable via our gallery below:
