In the early hours of The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure, players gain access to an orbal car for convenient fast travel without the need for the bus. And the vehicle can be decorated with several decals, most of which are obtained by examining specific spots throughout Crossbell. Further, getting these cosmetics contributes towards an achievement/trophy, so for completionists, they’re especially worth gunning for.

While most of these cosmetics aren’t missable, one, in particular, can be easily missed out on if a player isn’t paying attention. Moreover, the car can also be installed with parts, but those can all simply be bought from Genten on Crossbell Central Square.

On the second day of Chapter 1, examine the “Monthly Car Mania: Volume 1” book in the Hayworth Residence at the Residential District for the Sky Paintwork orbal car cosmetic. You must have examined the orbal car itself once to be able to obtain this item.

On the second day of Chapter 1, examine the “Car Freak: Volume 1” book in the Mainz Mine for the Charming Paintwork orbal car cosmetic.

On the first day of Chapter 2, examine “The Orbal Car Patricians” in the second dressing room in Arc en Ciel for the Noble Paintwork car cosmetic.

On the first day of Chapter 2, examine the “March On, Wild Soldier!” book in the Tangram Gate cafeteria to obtain the Guard Paintwork car cosmetic.

On the first day of Chapter 2, enter the second room on Armorica Inn’s second floor and examine the blue book “Car Freak: Volume 2” to obtain the Pop Paintwork car cosmetic.

On the second day of Chapter 2, in Crossbell Station at Station Street, examine the nearby “Car Star: Special Edition” on the bench for the Shiny Paintwork car cosmetic.

On the third day of Chapter 2, initiate the optional Dollnapped sidequest to gain access to the IBC elevator. Take it to the 16th floor, and after speaking to Mariabell in the office, examine the nearby “Monthly Car Mania: Volume 2” book for the Wild Paintwork car cosmetic. This missable avenue is the only time it’s obtainable.

On the third day of Chapter 2, head to the immediate left on Orchis Tower’s first floor and examine the “Mach Speed” book for the Cool Paintwork car cosmetic.

On the second day of Chapter 3, complete the optional “Package Pandemonium” quest and enter the same house the quest concluded in at the Residential District. Examine the nearby “Monthly Car Mania: Volume 3” on the bookshelf for the Deep Paintwork car cosmetic.

Note that car customization becomes unavailable in the later parts of the Finale, so ensure you get every car part before then.
