The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure Gets New Character Trailer Ahead of Its 2023 Western Release
NIS America has shared a new trailer for The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure. The RPG is a direct sequel to the also-upcoming The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and the duology is known as the Crossbell arc in the Trails series. While Trails from Zero will be released on September 27, 2022, Azure will be available on PC, PS4 and Switch in early 2023 and a specific date has yet to be announced.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure is the fifth game in a series of RPGs with connected narratives known as “Trails” and the second in the Crossbell arc. It tells the story of how a group of young men and women known as the Special Support Section fought bravely to protect the peace in the city-state of Crossbell during a major conspiracy.
The main team presented in the trailer includes Lloyd Bannings, Ellie MacDowell, Noel Seeker, Wazy Hemisphere, Tio Plato, and Randy Orlando. Series fans are likely to recognize some of them from the Cold Steel arc, which was released in English first despite continuing some important plot points from the Crossbell arc.

We’ll let you know as NIS America reveals new information on the official western release of Trails to Azure and the other games in the series. Besides Zero and Azure, they’re also working on releases of the spin-off of arguable importance to the lore, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails, and the game meant to provide some sense of closure to the arcs so far while hinting at the future of the series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie.
