The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero Reveals Final Set of PC Exclusive Features

Durante has shared the third and final part of his series overviewing PC features of the recently released localization of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero.

Durante has revealed that music information UI from the Geofront fan patch of the game has been incorporated in the Steam version, meaning that players will be informed of the names, OST disc, and track number of every new song they encounter. Moreover, dynamic shadows have been implemented, a feature the Vita-exclusive Evolution release boasted. The shadows even alter depending on context.

Steam and Discord Rich Presentence Integration is also possible for players who enable it, allowing friends and others to see where you are currently at in the game. Steam Dynamic Cloud Sync has been integrated as well, so players can possess the same save files across their PC and other PC-like devices such as the Steam Deck.

And, this feature is kind of insane; backward save compatibility with previous PC versions of Trails from Zero has been implemented. This means owners of those older versions, such as the Geofront build, can transfer their save data to this release. A “Continue from the latest Save” feature is added too.

I encourage you to read Durante’s full blog post, which also details performance optimization and bug fixes.
