Page 1 doesn’t have any text. It instead features some screenshots from the opening movie.
Page 2 details a new type of Connect Event: One that involves two people instead of just one!
The connect events shown are as follows:
Feri & Aaron Event: Feri’s Special Training
Van is worried about Feri, who has been strangely preoccupied since her reunion with her older brother Kasim and goes to find her. Instead, however, he seems to have found Feri and Aaron…
Judith & Nina: An Invitation from the Popular Actresses
Judith and Nina are working as employees at a luxury hotel to bring some large pieces of equipment. They also brought liquor and garnishes as well. When Van just discovered this, he gets caught up in a scheme by the hotel management.
Celis & Rion: Beneath the Moonlight
Celis and Rion are guardian knights disciples trained by Belgard, Van’s master, and as such, are like brother and sister. One day, Van sees them hanging out by the lake with weapons on hand. Curious, he goes to check them out.
Pages 3 & 4 focus on two new battle mechanics: EX Chain and Cross Charge.
In Cross Charge, a button prompt will appear after you’ve successfully dodged. Pressing that button will immediately switch out to a character, and by doing so, you temporarily increase their attack power.
During EX Chain mode (only available during the turn-based combat mode), normal attacks and skills have the ability to STUN enemies for a limited time.
Here’s how to trigger EX Chain:
Stun the enemy in action mode > Activate the shard (Square button) > Select Boost (with L1) and perform an S.C.L.M (attack while a party member is nearby)
Page 5 showcases three new minigames that will be in Kuro 2! Wow, that’s already a lot of minigames, isn’t it…
Seventh Hearts
A four-player card game. Players utilize their Arts Cards, which have 11 types each, with 7 attributes and various effects. The objective is to damage your opponent with abilities as much as you can. At the end of the game, players are ranked according to the total number of Life remaining and cards in their hands.
FIO’s Balloon Collecting
A minigame you can play at Trion Mall. Control FIO, Quartre’s buddy, and try to pop all of the hidden balloons before time runs out! The less time you take, the better your rewards.
Quiz King
A minigame similar to the “Kiseki de PON” one seen in Reverie/Hajimari. Players are given a series of questions about the Trails series, and you must answer them all before time runs out. The screenshot shows that you can only get it wrong three times.

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II Crimson Sin is releasing for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan on September 29, 2022.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is the latest entry of the ongoing Trails series, taking place after the recently concluded Cold Steel Erebonia arc, and after The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki, releasing in the west in 2023 as The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie.
This new title takes place in Calvard, one of the central regions of the series’ setting, the continent of Zemuria. While there are several returning characters from the Liberl, Crossbell, and Erebonia arcs, there is also a slew of new characters, each with their own struggles, relationships, and goals that enhance the liveliness of the in-game world.
Additionally, combat has undergone a significant shake-up, with action now freely swappable with turn-based in several circumstances, granting an impressive degree of player choice.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
