The Last Remnant Remastered Shows Town Exploring Gameplay in New Video
Square Enix released some gameplay from their upcoming remastered JRPG The Last Remnant Remastered, coming to PlayStation 4 on December 6.
The gameplay shows main protagonist Rush Sykes walking through town. The developer also mentions for the viewer to pay attention to the objects in the city and how they’ve refined them by using Unreal Engine 4.
The Last Remnant was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in the west in 2018. This enhanced port will provide updates to the game’s battle system, which has been highly criticized by fans, and other UI improvements.
Directed by Nobuyuki Ueda (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Romancing SaGa), The Last Remnant takes players on a JRPG adventure that finds Rush in search of his sister who has been kidnapped. While seeking out her return, he discovers a powerful artifact known as a Remnant, which ends up changing his fate completely.

Author’s take: I’m actually pretty excited for this game and would like to give it another chance. After playing it on 360, I really enjoyed the characters and world, but I’m interested in seeing how they’ve updated the game’s battle systems and any other updates they’ve added.
