The Last of Us Part II Gets Developer Video Detailing the Story and Characters
Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer for the Naughty Dog-developed adventure, The Last of Us Part II, coming to PlayStation 4 on June 19, after a slight delay due to COVID-19 launch concerns.
The trailer has The Last of Us Part II director Neil Druckmann and co-director Anthony Newman set up the story of the game. The two detail how they approached the characters and why they felt that this was a sequel that needed to be made. Narrative lead Halley Gross also detailed how the team decided what Joel and Ellie’s next steps were.
The Last of Us Part II puts players in the role of an older Ellie who is out for revenge. A lot has happened since the conclusion of The Last of Us, and players will be able to experience how humanity is adapting to this world years after the outbreak. Reprising their role as Joel and Ellie are Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, respectively. However, it was rumored that Joel might have been a ghost, but now we know that Joel will make his return.
