The Last of Us Part II Releases PS5 Performance Patch Targeting 60 FPS

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that a new patch is available for the Naughty Dog-developed adventure, The Last of Us Part II, but it mainly benefits players on PlayStation 5.

Once the free patch 1.08 is installed on you4 PS5, you can interact with a new display option that allows you to choose between a Framerate Target of 30 FPS or 60 FPS. Further enhancements include enhanced resolution and faster load times.

Director of communications at Naughty Dog Arne Meyer adds, “The team has been digging into the PS5 hardware and the possibilities it unlocks since launch last year and we’re excited about what the future holds. This patch is just the first step of working on the PS5.”

The Last of Us Part II puts players in the role of an older Ellie who is out for revenge. A lot has happened since the conclusion of The Last of Us, and players will be able to experience how humanity is adapting to this world years after the outbreak. Reprising their role as Joel and Ellie are Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, respectively. However, it was rumored that Joel might have been a ghost, but now we know that Joel will make his return.
