The Last of Us Part II Receives Updated Release Date Following Delay

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that Naughty Dog-developed adventure, The Last of Us Part II, will launch on June 19 after a slight delay due to launch concerns.

The delay came after street dates were broken in various regions to get the product out during the Coronavirus outbreak. To ensure that all fans are able to experience the game at the same time, the publisher decided to delay the game. Now a new release date has been given and we can all go back to anticipating the experience of jumping back in this dark and gritty world once again.

The Last of Us Part II puts players in the role of an older Ellie who is out for revenge. A lot has happened since the conclusion of The Last of Us, and players will be able to experience how humanity is adapting to this world years after the outbreak. Reprising their role as Joel and Ellie are Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, respectively. However, it was rumored that Joel might have been a ghost, but now we know that Joel will make his return.
