The King of Fighters XV Season 2 Confirmed for 2023; Team Awakened Orochi DLC Launching Next Week
During EVO 2022, SNK revealed new information pertaining to the ongoing DLC support for The King of Fighters XV.
The previously announced Team Awakened Orochi DLC comprising Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie, and Orochi Chris will be released next week, on August 8, 2022. Check out the latest trailer showcasing their movesets.
Currently, one remaining team is set to be released sometime this Fall, and they are set to receive a showcase on August 7, 2022. New background music will also be added.
Lastly, a second season of DLC has also been confirmed for 2023.

The King of Fighters XV features vibrant graphics that allow the team to be a bit more playful with the roster and telegraph movesets easier, which is needed for such a technical fighting game as this. In addition, the title features a main campaign that revolves around Shun’ei and how he acquired his mysterious powers at a young age. Other character stories are also featured.
SNK has hyped up this game’s release with several character reveals and trailers showcasing their varied movesets, aesthetics, and music. It is clear that the team is dedicating all their workforce to making this fighter as qualitative as possible, even post-release with all of the DLC.
The King of Fighters XV is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows 10, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
