The King of Fighters XV Introduces the Very Sleepy Meitenkun in New Gameplay Trailer

SNK released new gameplay from their much-anticipated fighter The King of Fighters XV, coming in later in 2021.

This trailer highlights Meitenkun, who is a sleepy fighter that hangs out in his pajamas all day. Still, he packs a punch in a fight utilizing a drunken fist style of fighting tech along with the inclusion of a pillow as a projectile. The trailer highlights his moveset and gives us a look at more gameplay from the upcoming fighter.

More news about The King of Fighters XV will be released at a later date. Still, the game utilizes cell-shaded character designs, which resemble the developer’s previous Samurai Shodown entry.

The colorful graphics allow the team to be a bit more playful with the roster and telegraph movesets easier, which is needed for such a technical fighting game such as this. The game will feature a main campaign revolve around Shun’ei and how he acquired his mysterious powers at a young age. The game will also have a story for other characters on the roster.
