The King of Fighters XV Introduces Joe Higashi in New Gameplay Trailer
SNK released new gameplay from their much-anticipated fighter The King of Fighters XV, coming in later in 2021.
The trailer highlights Joe Higashi who has also appeared in Fatal Fury entries. Joe utilizes a Muay Thai style in fights, which allows him to punch at high speeds. He can also hone his chi energy to unleash powerful punches as he builds up to unleash a Tiger Kick or Screw Upper.
More news about The King of Fighters XV will be released at a later date. Still, the game utilizes cell-shaded character designs, which resemble the developer’s previous Samurai Shodown entry.
The colorful graphics allow the team to be a bit more playful with the roster and telegraph movesets easier, which is needed for such a technical fighting game such as this. The game will feature a main campaign revolve around Shun’ei and how he acquired his mysterious powers at a young age. The game will also have a story for other characters on the roster.
