The King of Fighters XV Introduces Benimaru in New Character Trailer
SNK released new gameplay from their much-anticipated fighter The King of Fighters XV, coming in later in 2021.
The trailer introduces Benimaru Nikaido to the roster with his perfect hair. Benimaru is a rich boy who grew up in Japan with his Japanese father and American Mother. His slender frame enhances his electrostatics and his chiseled legs (built from years of shoot boxing) allow him to land kicks that hit like bolts of lightning. During this tournament, Benimaru’s friend and rival, Kyo Kusanagi, forces him into a position where he must watch over Shun’ei and Meitenkun.
More news about The King of Fighters XV will be released at a later date. Still, the game utilizes cell-shaded character designs, which resemble the developer’s previous Samurai Shodown entry.
The colorful graphics allow the team to be a bit more playful with the roster and telegraph movesets easier, which is needed for such a technical fighting game such as this. The game will feature a main campaign revolve around Shun’ei and how he acquired his mysterious powers at a young age. The game will also have a story for other characters on the roster.
