The King of Fighters XV Shares DLC Character Roadmap Trailer; 4 Teams, Seasonal Releases, 6 Characters Now Confirmed
SNK Corporation has released a new trailer for the upcoming The King of Fighters XV, highlighting the game’s DLC content roadmap. Players can look forward to a total of four currently confirmed DLC character packs. So far, the members of the first two teams are confirmed.
Team 1, dubbed Team Garou, releasing in March 2022, comprises the following characters:
- Rock Howard
- Gato
- B. Jenet
Team 2, dubbed Team South Town, releasing in May 2022, comprises the following characters:
- Geese Howard
- Billy Kane
- Ryuji Yamazaki
Teams 3 and 4 will be releasing in Summer 2022 and Fall 2022 respectively and none of those characters have been confirmed yet.

The King of Fighters XV features some colorful graphics that allow the team to be a bit more playful with the roster and telegraph movesets easier, which is needed for such a technical fighting game as this. In addition, the game will feature a main campaign that revolves around Shun’ei and how he acquired his mysterious powers at a young age. The game will also have a story for other characters on the roster.
SNK has been amping up the hype for the game’s eventual release with several character reveals and trailers showcasing their varied movesets, aesthetics, and music. It is clear that the team is dedicating all their workforce to making this fighter as qualitative as possible, so hopefully, its delay will prove to be fruitful.
The King of Fighters XV is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC-via Windows 10, Steam, and the Epic Games Store on February 17, 2022.
