The King of Fighters XIII Global Match Now Available on PS4 & Switch; Launch Trailer
SNK has announced that The King of Fighters XIII Global Match is now available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for $19.99/€19.99. This updated release includes the following:
- Rollback netcode for fast-paced online matches;
- Online lobbies accommodating up to nine players.
- And a Spectator Mode, allowing fans worldwide to watch exciting matches unfold.
A deluxe edition with a 100-page artbook and digital soundtrack is also available for $29.99/€29.99.
The King of Fighters XIII was previously only available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, mobile devices, Arcade, and PC. The title was ambitious as it removed the Guard Attack, the Critical Counter, and the Clash System from the previous entry with the EX Mode, Hyper Drive Mode, and Drive Cancel, encouraging further combo variation and player experimentation. Regarding the story, this game takes place after The King of Fighters XI and concludes the third story arc initiated in The King of Fighters 2003.
