The Forgotten City Delayed to Spring 2021 to Release the “Best Possible Version of the Game”

Developer Modern Storyteller announced that their time-loop murder mystery The Forgotten City has been delayed to a Spring release of 2021.

In a statement, it was noted that the delay would ensure the developers have enough time to release the best possible version of the game. Further, the pandemic hardships of this year also played a factor in the game’s release. Still, the team seems hopeful that they will hit this new date and deliver a promising adventure to fans.

The Forgotten City is a narrative-driven adventure where the player finds themselves trapped in a secret underground city during the Roman Empire and where 26 lost souls cling to life. You see, if one person breaks the “Golden Rule,” everyone dies. Well, it just so happens that you’re a time-traveler, and you find yourself 2,000 years in the past as you uncover the final moments of this region’s existence in an endless loop.

Players can explore the world, interrogate the citizens, and change the course of the day with secrets they discover. The game features difficult moral choices that players will have to solve the mystery of what really happened to this place.

The Forgotten City is in development for Xbox One and PC.
