The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes Gets New ‘Enemy of My Enemy’ Trailer

During Gamescom 2021’s preshow, Bandai Namco has shared a new trailer for The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes. It show a little of the gameplay and story of the horror game developed by Supermassive Games. House of Ashes will be available on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 22, 2021, just in time for Halloween.

The Dark Pictures is a horror anthology series that allows players to enjoy narrative decision-centered games. Not only do they include a story mode and a curator mode with a different look at the story, but they also allow players to enjoy the game with friends locally and online.

Each title has a specific story that can be enjoyed without playing the other games. The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes takes place in the Zagros mountains. As a US military unit fights Iraqi forces, they end up in a buried Sumerian temple. The protagonists are then trapped with no way to communicate with the outside.

However they don’t even know there seems to be some sort of ancient, evil force in the shadows. As the players make decisions and try to figure who’s a friend and who’s a foe, decisions must be made. As with previous games, you can expect some serious tense moments and deadly consequences.
