Bandai Namco released a developer diary video for the Supermassive Games developed narrative-driven adventure The Dark Pictures: Little Hope, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam in summer 2020.
The video is hosted by Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games and Executive Producer of The Dark Pictures Anthology, as he walks players through some of the game’s features and setting. The developer dives into the lore of the New England town and its dark past that revolves around the witch trials of 1692.
The developer also details influences and inspirations and gives players a look at this new game’s environments.
The Dark Pictures: Little Hope continues the horror adventure elements of the series as players are tasked with doing whatever they can to stay alive through a nightmare. During gameplay, players will make choices that affect the relationship of the characters and their chances of survival. The gameplay also encourages exploration as players look for clues and piece together the mystery, which isn’t also helpful in surviving a sudden supernatural attack. Still, at least you get to learn more about killing ghosts.
