The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 Brings the Narrative Adventure Horror Series to Space in Teaser Trailer
The first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology has come to an end with the release of The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me. However, Supermassive Games is already teasing the release of the first entry of the second season, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020. In a short teaser trailer found after completing The Devil in Me, players can get a taste of the space adventure to come.
At this time, there is no release platform or date available, but it’s sure to come out in the coming days.
The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of narrative adventure games exploring horror themes and situations. Each game features its own independent story making each entry individually enjoyable. Another specific aspect that’s common to them all is the multiplayer modes which allow players to enjoy the consequences of others’ actions.
The Devil in Me is described as the most sinister tale the series has offered so far, with the direst situations for the main characters to deal with. This time around, it will all revolve around a group of filmmakers who usually work with documentaries. As they receive a mysterious invitation to a castle, they are soon met with bizarre circumstances.
The place they go to is a replica of the H.H. Holmes hotel, also known as the Murder Castle. Holmes is considered America’s first serial killer and used to lure his victims into the original hotel. Having every move of theirs watched, the group of protagonists must choose wisely to survive the twisted whims of a “game master.”
The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on November 18, 2022.
