The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics Shows its Tactical Gameplay in New Overview Trailer

En Masse Entertainment released a new gameplay video for the BonusXP-developed tactical RPG The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 4, 2020.

The gameplay video goes into depth about the tactical RPG systems within the game and how each character plays a unique role in a party. Players will need to pay attention to turn over and MP consumption as they move their units around the map. Characters are able to learn over 150 abilities to use in combat spread across 19 job classes.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is based on the Netflix Original Series and brings The Dark Crystal universe to the video game medium. Players will be able to create and train units to bring into battles across grid-based maps in the fantasy world of Thra. The game features 15 unique characters and jobs to build a party with so players will be able to create a party that fits their playstyle. Gameplay will find players on a quest to unite the seven Gelfling clans against the evil Skeksis in a side story that runs parallel to the events of the Netflix series.

To celebrate the announcement, the publisher has released a new trailer showing extended gameplay from the game. This trailer gives players a chance to preview the tactical gameplay offered in this new adventure. Furthermore, players can view the magic and attacks that characters will be able to use in battle.

During PAX West 2019, we had a chance to play a demo of the game and found it to be “whimsical” and “fun”.  Find out why by giving our preview a read.
