The Cruel King and the Great Hero Receives 2-Week Delay On PS4 & Switch
Publisher NIS America has announced that their upcoming adventure RPG, The Cruel King and the Great Hero, has been delayed ahead of its Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 release later this month. Instead of the March 1 release date both platforms initially had, the game has now been pushed back to March 15 in the U.S. and March 11 in Europe.
Details regarding this delay’s reasoning have not been provided, but it’s a relatively brief window of time, so I doubt many will mind all that much.
If you missed it, check out NIS America’s recent interview with the title’s head, Sayaka Oda.
The Cruel King and the Great Hero features a storybook-inspired art style by childhood storybooks. The project is written and illustrated by Sayaka Oda, who also worked on The Liar Princess and The Blind Prince.
In the title, players witness a young girl, Yuu, being raised by a dragon and the adventures that they share daily. It’s almost adorable to see the two interact, but you know they will face some trials throughout the narrative. She dreams of becoming a hero like her father, so she goes on many adventures. As the player explores the areas, it’ll be possible to find hidden items. In addition, they will unlock illustrations, character profiles, and other goodies for the game gallery.
The Cruel King and the Great Hero is releasing for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on March 15, 2022, for North America, and March 11, 2022, for Europe.
