The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story 35% Off, Demo Available; “Behind the Scenes” Featurette Now Separately Purchasable
Square Enix has announced that their recently released FMV title, The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, has received a free consumer demo on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. However, it “contains specifications that differ from those of the full game,” and save data can’t be transferred to the full title.
Additionally, the Behind the Scenes featurette, which was locked as a pre-order bonus, is now separately purchasable across all platforms. Lastly, the game is 35% off on all platforms.
Throughout this game, players witness the tragic tale of the Shijima family, who have experienced many familial deaths over the past 100 years. The protagonist is a mystery novelist named Haruka Kagami, who utilizes her detective prowess to investigate the four deaths that have plagued this family’s history.
High-quality cinematography and live-action gameplay are at the forefront of the experience to immerse players in several eras of Japan. Nanami Sakuraba plays the protagonist, Haruka Kagami, and Yuta Hiraoka plays the Shijima family’s second son, Eiji Shijima.
The game is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
