Square Enix has shared a brief article highlighting comments from the live-action actors who participated in the recently released FMV mystery title, The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story. While each actor obviously details their own insight with this unique developmental experience, they all state how remarkable it was for the cast to film different contextual eras of themselves alongside the bad ends that result from erroneous choices.

You can read each actor’s thoughts on The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story via Square Enix’s official website.

Throughout this game, players witness the tragic tale of the Shijima family, who have experienced many familial deaths over the past 100 years. The protagonist is a mystery novelist named Haruka Kagami, who utilizes her detective prowess to investigate the four deaths that have plagued this family’s history.

High-quality cinematography and live-action gameplay are at the forefront of the experience to immerse players in several eras of Japan. Nanami Sakuraba plays the protagonist, and Haruka Kagami and Yuta Hiraoka play the Shijima family’s second son, Eiji Shijima.

The game is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Those who purchase the game before May 19, 2022, will receive a 50-minute Behind the Scenes feature and a mini soundtrack composed by Yuki Hayashi, Daiki Okuno, Ryoshi Takagi, Shuichiro Fukuhiro, and Shogo Yamashiro.
