Nicalis announced that their plans to release The Binding of Isaac: Repentance as DLC for The Binding of Issac: Rebirth on PC-via Steam on March 31, 2021, with a console release planned for later in 2021.
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is considered to be the “ultimate edition” of the twin-stick shooter roguelike with over 500 hours of gameplay for players to experience. The game has been updated with new features, improvements to gameplay, and additional secrets. This release is also advertised as the final update to the base game with the following features:
- 130+ new items (more than 700 items in total)
- A full alternate path with brand new chapters and a new final boss and ending
- 100+ new enemies
- 25+ new bosses
- 2 new playable characters
- 5 new challenges
- 100+ new achievements
- 5,000+ new room designs
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was initially released in 2014. The game is a roguelike twin-stick shooter where players enter a dungeon with multiple floors to travel from room to room, kill enemies, and collect powerful weapons. However, there are a ton of other mechanics that make the game different every time you play. This new update adds even more to an already beefy game.
