The Art of Shantae Hardcover to Release Later This Year Covering Art From All Five Games in the Series
UDON Entertainment announced they will publish The Art of Shantae as a hardcore book on August 24, 2021, and available for pre-order now.
The Art of Shantae covers all five games from the Shantae video game series, along with Shantae memorabilia and concepts that have never been seen before. In addition, readers can follow the artistic development of each character from the series, including Risky Boots, Rottytops, Sky, Bolo, and of course, Shantae.
Further, the artbook will receive an exclusive cover variant limited to 400 copies available during San Diego Comic-Con 2021 online event. The Art of Shantae SDCC Exclusive Edition will feature an alternate cover and gold foil stamping. Pre-orders for this version open on July 19, 2021, on the publisher’s website.
Both editions celebrate 25 years of the Shantae from Erin and Matt Bozon’s earliest designs, WayForward’s game series, animation from Studio Trigger, and more. There’s key art, rough concepts, style explorations, creature and environment designs, and everything else you’d expect.
The standard The Art of Shantae will retail for $49.99, while the Exclusive Edition will retail for $60.
